Aquapur 18
(Submersible or out of pond filter)
Filters ponds up to 4800 gallons. Can be used with Nautilus 10,30, 45 & 60
pumps, Atlantis 150 and Powermax 5500 and 10000 pumps as well as pumps from other
manufacturers ranging from 500 GPH to 2400 GPH. Filters by mechanical, biological
and chemical means (using charcoal/carbon granulate medium). A pump pushes water
into the filter, forcing it to the top and then down through a filter pad and 12" of
filtering medium before finally exiting the filter to return as purified water to the
pond. In this type of filtering system, it is best to locate the pump at the
opposite end of the pond from the filter. The pump intake should be protected by a
prefilter to prevent large debris from being drawn into the pump and pressure filter.
The drum pressure filter is completely sealed and can be positioned in the pond or
outside the pond. It is NOT a gravity fed system so the filter can sit either above
or below the water level of the pond or even within the pond. Intake and outlet fittings
are 1" MNPT for easy conversion to any type of tubing or pipe. The drum

Biotec System
The components of this system are a Power Max pump, a
uv-clarifier unit and a Biotec biological filter (shown above). Together they can
solve the water gardener's most difficult problem: dirty water. Cloudy, dirty water
and strong algae growth are common problems in ponds. These problems are enhances by
an excessive supply of nutrients, dead plants, over-fertilized soil, acid rain, fish
excrement and left-over food. They product ammonia which is harmful to fish.
The OASE Biotec Filter System transforms ammonia into nitrite using a natural
process. The nitrite which is still harmful, is then changed into harmless
nitrates. Another feature of the Biotec Filter System is the easy cleaning. An
indicator automatically gives the degree of pollution and shows when the filtered biomass
must be removed. The filter is cleaned by simply removing the inner dirt tank,
rinsing it with clear water, and reinserting it again. The filtered biomass is a
very good organic fertilizer. In addition, ultraviolet control of algae, parasites

Vortex 2000 Filter
For ponds up to 2000 gallons. Water enters the vortex outer chamber via a
multi-stage hosetail inlet fitting for pumps from 250 to 1200 GPH. The water spins,
traveling up the chamber and allowing heavier particles to fall and be removed, From
the top the water flows down through 3 foam pads in the center chamber and into the
